Low-Level English Speakers Citizenship Class 2018

In these free classes, you will learn U.S. History and Civics, and gain valuable knowledge of the N400 (Application for Citizenship). Click here to sign up for a class.

Why should you become a citizen? 

Becoming a U.S. Citizen is the path to full participation in our nation. Vote, travel freely, protect yourself and your family members from the possibility of deportation, petition to unite with other family members, hold a wider range of jobs, and have access to all of the rights, benefits, and responsibilities of a full member of the United States of America. Eligbility for Citizenship

In order to qualify for U.S. Citizenship you must:

  • Have been a lawful permanent resident for at least 4 years, 9 months AND be able to speak, read, and write basic English or
  • Have been a lawful permanent resident for at least 2 years, 9 months AND have been married to a U.S. citizen for at least 3 years AND be able to speak, read, and write basic English
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Visit http://www.uscis.gov for more details on citizenship eligibility
